SUPPLYING A POWERFUL DRY COOLERLER

IN MID-DECEMBER 2016, A2P INDUSTRIE SUPPLIED A DRY COOLER WITH A CAPACITY OF 1000 KW, A HIGHLY ENERGY-EFFICIENT THERMAL EXCHANGE DEVICE.

Process cooling equipment that guarantees a distinct reduction in energy consumption, and therefore a very fast return on investment.

 

On 14 December 2016, A2P INDUSTRIE supplied a thermoconvector with a cooling capacity of 1000 kW to the company NUTRIPACK RG at its new site at SAINT MARTIN DU FRESNE.

 

This dry cooler will be one of the pillars of the new energy saving system (RTS3) that A2P INDUSTRIE is installing for NUTRIPACK RG, and whose objective is to drastically reduce the site’s energy consumption.

This five-tonne dry cooler – with dimensions of 11000 x 2450 x 2450 mm (h) – has two independent heat exchange batteries that allow the production of two water regimes at different temperatures. Thus, during the warm season, the two batteries will be dedicated to the cooling of machine oils (plastic injection moulding). As the temperature of the oils does not need to be very low, this adiabatic thermoconvector makes it possible to remove all the heat from the hydraulic circuits, i.e. 1 MW (ΔT: 5°C) with a minimum consumption of 53 kW.

 

During the cold season, the higher ΔT between the set temperature and the ambient air temperature increases the dry cooler’s cooling capacity. Thus, when conditions permit, one of the system’s two batteries switches to cooling the moulds, relieving the chiller partially or even fully. The other battery continues to cool the oils.

 

This fully automated system provides substantial energy savings by shutting down the compressor in the refrigeration unit for part of the year.

 

This energy-saving device has already been installed at another NUTRIPACK site in FLINES and has received extremely positive feedback.
